I took the car for a spin but no go - dashboard is still lit up. it was filthy - cleaned it and poor man fixed the plastic part (or wahtever, cant remember what it was made of) with krazy glue and then sealed it with some silicone for good measure.

The sensor was rusted through like none other (the half that the screw goes through cracked bc I forced it too much -if you notice yours is pretty rusted put some WD40 on it or something to loosen it up over night before actually going at it).
